HMV Model 101 Portable in Black

Originally part of the Ian Calderbank Collection of Gramophones.
This Gramophone has been Sold, but the details might be of interest to fellow Collectors.

101 portable Gramophones was available between October 1925 and circa 1931, the Gramophone was originally introduced with the winding handle on the front, in late 1926 / early 1927 it was moved to the side.
This example of the model 101 has an HMV 410 motor.
Condition:- Nickel Plate is excellent. On some of the case protective metal corners, the black paint has worn away revealing the copper coating. There are a few creases to the Rexene covering on the front of the machine. The leather carrying handle has been replaced.
In summary the case and the whole Gramophone is in very good condition.
